The fort officially has been classified as the most haunted place by the Central Government of India, and for a good reason. Raja Madhu Singh had built this once majestic fort way back in 1613, but it was abandoned soon after it was built. Some say that the place was cursed by a magician! Tourists from all corners of the world flock to this place to visit the dark corners and forbidden areas of this fort that are both mysterious and spooky. But, no one ever stays a minute over sunset or sets foot before sunrise at the fort!

Located on the Kalka railway track in Shimla, this tunnel has a tale of its own. Rumours say that many spirits and evil ghosts haunt this dark and damp tunnel. A few people have seen a British man talking to pedestrians. Another common sight is a spirit of a woman passing through the wall going into the tunnel. Many ghost finders set out on the quest to experience paranormal activities and bump into the ghosts. Most of them return with the weirdest of stories; a few shaken up and, the other few vowing never to step out on another ghost finding expedition. This eerie tunnel is no place for the weak hearted!

Daytime sees hundreds of tourists enjoying camel rides, horse rides, bike rides and paragliding on this beautiful black sand beach, but once the sun sets the place becomes desolate! Incidences such as the barking of dogs in the night, unknown voices coming out of nowhere and resonating in the surroundings have generated a lot of speculation. Many tourists, who have stepped out for a late evening walk on the sands of this beach, have never returned! The locals are convinced that the place is haunted and discourage visitors from visiting this place after the darkness sets in.

Shaniwar Wada, the house of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has been a witness to several horrifying incidences related to deceit, murders and betrayal. That is why; the place has innumerable ghost stories attached to its existence.According to popular legends, the heir to the Peshwa dynasty, Narayanrao, a 13-year-old Brahmin was brutally murdered by his close relative. The boy ran for his life across the fort shouting and begging for help. But, no one came forward to help the young lad and he was mercilessly and brutally killed. The incident occurred on a full moon night. Many locals claim that they have seen or felt the presence of a young boy running across the fort shouting for help on full moon nights.

This 13th century village on the outskirts of Jaisalmer in Rajasthan is one of the most haunted places in India. Many say that Kuldhara, is the proof of the existence of the spirits. The legend goes that people who try to live in Kuldhara die. The skeletons of people who had dared to live here have been found in the village.
Those who had set out to explore this quaint village claim that they felt a spooky presence of some invisible energy. Many people have also heard screams of women and seen kids running around! Dozens of explorers come back shivering with tales of their own that screams out the presence of something sinister in this deserted village!
