Just a short 16 km drive from the capital city of Panaji, yet cut off from the tourist crowd, Sinquerim is a quaint village in Bardez on the northern side of Goa. It is the ideal beach to go to for those who want to indulge in peaceful beach walks, away from the noise of crowds and markets.

The beach at Sinquerim was featured in several scenes of the film Singham Returns, starring Ajay Devgan. Its alluring stretches of white sand and gorgeous sunsets are hard to miss if you have seen the film.

Alappuzha beach in Kerala is just as magnificent as the rest of the state. But the one thing that sets it apart is the peace and calm you will find here. Away from the hustle and bustle of city life, it offers an unparalleled sense of serenity. Walk along the beautiful shoreline and watch the sunset, or visit the lighthouse nearby—you’ll find beauty everywhere. It has even been called the ‘Venice of the East’ by many travellers.

  1. Morjim Beach, Goa

Morjim is another lovely town located in the vast beachlands of Goa. It has come to be known as Little Russia due to the number of Russian immigrants found here. The beach is not very crowded and a great place for a quiet walk along the shore, feet dipping into the crashing waves.

Morjim is a nesting site for the Olive Ridley sea turtle, an endangered species. It was also a shooting location for the recent Bollywood movie Zid, starring Priyanka Chopra’s cousin Mannara.

Bekal is one of the most picturesque beaches of Kerala and is located in the Kasaragod district. Sunrise and sunset here are unforgettable, and the vibe at the beach is undeniably calming. A walkway has been constructed along the shoreline, and the beach is lit up at night soon after sundown, so whether you visit in the day or at night, the view will not disappoint you.

At the end of the beach lies the largest fort in Kerala, the Bekal Fort. The beach was a shooting location for Mani Ratnam’s finest, Bombay, starring Manisha Koirala.

Miramar is located in the Goan capital of Panaji. Though it used to be a popular beach, it is now less crowded. It is the place to be if you want to take a solitary walk in the evening not too far from the happening areas.

Miramar is featured extensively in the Bollywood film Jackpot, starring Naseeruddin Shah and Sunny Leone.
