Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif turned on the heat in picturesque, beautiful Manali. They shot portions of their movie at a bridge in Manali. The bridge became so popular that it was renamed ‘Bang Bang Point’ after the movie!
Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
Ayan Mukherjee raised the temperatures in Manali by shooting key portions of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani in the famous Hidimba Devi Temple at Manali. This beautiful temple is located at the foot of the Himalayas and surrounded by a cedar forest.
Jab We Met
What is with Manali and crackling chemistry between the lead pair? Kareena Kapoor brought out the beauty of Manali in Jab We Met. The film was shot in locations like the majestic Rohtang Pass and the charming Naggar Castle.
Though Fanaa was supposed to be based in Kashmir, the director decided that shooting in Kashmir would be too risky, and hence most of these portions were shot in Manali.
Dev D proved that it’s not only romantic tearjerkers that get shot in Bollywood. There’s space for quirky entertainment as well. Anurag Kashyap ensured that he showed us a different type of Manali when he shot Dev D there.
Rakesh Roshan embarked on a 55-day marathon shoot in Manali, and the result was Krrish, showcasing some of the best locations that Manali offers. The song Koi Tumsa Nahin was shot amidst the evergreen pastures and towering mountains of Manali.

Manali offers great locations even for movies on offbeat themes. Dibakar Banerjee took this critically acclaimed crime caper to the lush locales of Manali. The story of a conman, Oye Lucky, Lucky Oye showcased Abhay Deol’s immense acting abilities.
